Service Overview
What is FORMLOVA?
FORMLOVA is a chat-first form service. Connect from AI clients like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini via the MCP protocol, and create, manage, and analyze forms entirely through chat.
What is MCP?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open protocol that connects AI clients with external services. FORMLOVA is designed with this protocol as its primary entry point.
How is FORMLOVA different from other form tools?
Chat is the primary interface, not a dashboard. AI processing costs are borne by the user's client, keeping service fees low. Paid plans start at $4/month, roughly one-fifth of competitors.
Which AI clients are supported?
Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Codex, and Gemini CLI are supported. Any MCP-compatible client can also connect.
Can I use multiple AI clients simultaneously?
Yes. You can connect from multiple clients with the same account at the same time, and data is automatically synchronized.
Do I still need the dashboard?
Day-to-day operations are handled through chat. The dashboard serves as a secondary surface for reviewing response lists, managing billing, team settings, and other detailed configurations.
Is FORMLOVA available in multiple languages?
FORMLOVA fully supports English and Japanese. Language switching is available across forms, the dashboard, auto-reply emails, and analytics reports. You can also create translated versions of forms.
Are there additional charges for AI usage?
FORMLOVA charges nothing for AI processing. AI costs follow the pricing of your client (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.).
Pricing & Plans
Is FORMLOVA free to use?
Form creation and responses are unlimited on all plans, including free. The free plan includes up to 100 emails per month and basic analytics.
What is the difference between the free and paid plans?
Free covers creating, collecting, and viewing. Standard ($4/month) adds operations and optimization such as custom auto-replies, reminders, and detailed analytics. Premium ($8/month) adds scaling, monetization, and team features like bulk email, Stripe Connect, and team management.
How much do the paid plans cost?
Standard is $4/month and Premium is $8/month, both billed monthly.
Can I cancel my paid plan at any time?
You can cancel anytime from the dashboard. After cancellation, you retain access until the end of the billing period, and your data is never automatically deleted.
Is there a limit on the number of responses?
All plans have unlimited responses. There is no cap even on the free plan.
What is the monthly email sending limit?
Free plan: 100 emails, Standard: 1,000 emails, Premium: 10,000 emails.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
You can change your plan anytime from the billing page. Upgrades take effect immediately, and downgrades apply at the next billing cycle.
Can I get invoices or receipts?
Invoices and receipts are available through the Stripe billing portal, accessible from the billing page in the dashboard.
Form Creation & Editing
What question types are available?
29 types are supported, including text, number, single choice, multiple choice, dropdown, date, datetime, time, email, phone, URL, file upload, matrix, signature, address, star rating, NPS, various scales, ranking, picture choice, Yes/No, country, legal consent, and more.
Does FORMLOVA support conditional logic?
Yes. You can show or hide questions, skip pages, or end the form based on responses. Both AND and OR condition combinations are supported.
What is the file upload size limit?
Up to 10MB per file. Supported formats include JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TXT, CSV, and ZIP. Available on Standard plan and above.
Can I create multi-page forms?
Yes. Multi-page step-by-step forms are supported with partial save and restore, so respondents can resume if they leave partway through.
Can I recreate a form from an existing public form URL?
Yes. FORMLOVA can read the visible field structure from a public form URL and recreate it as a draft. Forms requiring login are not supported.
Can I match a form's design to a screenshot?
Yes. Send a screenshot, mockup, or poster image, and the design will be adapted to match. This is the fastest way to communicate your desired look.
Can I change the form design through chat?
Colors, fonts, border radius, button colors, background colors, and more can all be changed by chatting. Design adjustments are available on all plans.
Are templates available?
Six system templates are provided. You can also save your own forms as templates for reuse.
Can I create translated versions of a form?
Just say "create an English version" in chat and a translated copy will be generated.
Can I revert to a previous version of a form?
Form changes are automatically saved as snapshots. You can browse the history and restore any previous version.
Responses & Data Management
Can I export response data?
Export is available in CSV, Excel, and JSON formats. All plans, including free, can export without restrictions.
Can I search and filter responses?
Text search, conditional filtering, and status management (new, in progress, resolved, spam) are all supported.
Can I tag responses?
Yes. You can freely tag responses with labels like VIP, resolved, or needs follow-up for easy categorization.
Can I prevent duplicate responses?
An email-based duplicate prevention setting is available. You can choose to enable it during form creation.
Is response data stored permanently?
Response data is stored permanently as your asset. It is never deleted without your request.
Can I track respondents across forms?
Yes. You can view a respondent's response history across all forms and their email engagement in a unified view using their email address.
Can I import response data?
Bulk import via JSON is supported with field-type validation. Available on Standard plan and above.
Can I set a capacity limit and auto-close?
Yes. The form automatically stops accepting responses when the capacity is reached. The capacity check runs atomically at the database level, preventing overflows from concurrent submissions.
Email & Notifications
Can I customize auto-reply emails?
On Standard plan and above, you can freely adjust the wording and tone through chat. For example, "make it more casual" or "add a link to the venue map."
Can I send reminder emails?
Available on Standard plan and above. You can set flexible timing such as "send 3 days before and the morning of the event."
Can I send bulk emails?
Available on Premium plan. Send a CSV or Excel mailing list in chat and give your instructions.
Can I track email opens and clicks?
Both open and click tracking are supported. Individual-level open, click, and bounce history is also available.
Can I customize email design?
On Standard plan and above, you can customize the sender display name, Reply-To address, logo image, email colors, and footer text.
How are unsubscribes handled?
All emails include an unsubscribe link as standard (CAN-SPAM/GDPR compliant). Unsubscribed recipients are automatically added to the suppression list.
Can I set up email sequences (drip campaigns)?
Available on Premium plan. You can configure automatic email chains that send follow-ups at set intervals after a response is submitted.
Can I send emails based on conditions?
Available on Standard plan and above. Filter by response data conditions such as "follow up with respondents who rated 3 or below" or "remind those who haven't responded."
Analytics & Reports
What analytics are available?
The free plan offers response counts and basic analytics. Paid plans add daily breakdowns, field distributions, auto-insights, cross-tabulation, text analysis, traffic analysis, anomaly detection, and multi-form comparison.
Can I generate PDF reports?
Available on Standard plan and above. Generate PDF reports with daily graphs, distribution tables, and optional insights.
Can I run A/B tests?
Standard supports 2 variants, Premium supports up to 5. Traffic splitting, chi-squared significance testing, and automatic winner application are included.
Can I analyze traffic sources (UTM)?
Available on Standard plan and above. Analyze views and conversion rates by UTM parameters and referrer sources.
Can I analyze data across multiple forms?
Yes. Automatic matching of identically named fields enables cross-form comparison.
Can I schedule automatic reports?
Available on Standard plan and above. Daily or weekly summary reports can be automatically delivered by email.
Security & Privacy
Where is response data stored?
Data is stored in an AES-256 encrypted database. All communications are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
Can others access my data?
All tables are protected by Row Level Security (RLS). No one other than the form creator can access the data.
Is FORMLOVA GDPR compliant?
Yes. FORMLOVA supports data deletion requests, masks email addresses in logs, and includes unsubscribe links in all emails.
Is there bot protection?
Cloudflare Turnstile provides automatic bot defense, combined with rate limiting of 5 submissions per minute per form.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
All related data, including forms, responses, emails, and team member information, is permanently deleted.
Is conversation data stored?
Conversation storage is off by default. Only when you explicitly enable it are summarized conversation traces saved. Raw conversation text is never stored.
What are the password requirements?
A minimum of 8 characters is required. If you forget your password, you can reset it via an email link.
Team & Extensions
Can I use FORMLOVA with a team?
Available on Premium plan. Invite members with three permission levels: viewer (read-only), editor (can edit), and admin (full control).
Can I create paid forms to collect fees?
On Premium plan, integrate with Stripe Connect to collect participation fees. The total fee is 4.6% (Stripe 3.6% + platform 1.0%).
Can I use webhooks?
Yes. Events like form submissions and form closures can be automatically sent to external services.
Can I automate workflows?
Yes. Trigger condition-based actions on form submission, such as sending emails, updating fields, or firing webhooks.
Can I integrate with external services?
By connecting MCP-compatible services like HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, and Google Workspace simultaneously, integrations work without any additional implementation on FORMLOVA's side.
Can I generate QR codes?
Yes. Generate a QR code for your form URL to use on printed materials and posters.
Can I view audit logs?
Available on Premium plan. View a complete record of all operations including form actions, member management, and webhook configuration changes.
